New standard strengthens information and cyber security
Securikett has successfully completed certification to ISO/IEC 27001. The Swiss Association for Quality and Management Systems (SQS) thereby confirms that the company’s information security management system meets the requirements of the internationally recognized standard.

Integrated management system as a strong overall package
Together with ISO 9001 and ISO 14298, the ISO/IEC 27001 standard forms an integrated management system at Securikett. Quality, physical security, and information security are thus brought together in one shared system, complementing each other to form a strong overall package.
Security standard for the highest requirements
Until now, ISO/IEC 27001 has been common only among security printers that produce banknotes, passports, or identity documents. The certification underscores Securikett’s high security standards.
“The new ISO/IEC 27001 certification confirms that information security and cyber security are firmly embedded in Securikett’s corporate processes. It strengthens our customers’ confidence that their data is being handled with care,” explains Felix Waniek, Chief Information Security Officer at Securikett. “The area of physical security, which is very extensive, was already very strongly anchored at our company through the existing ISO 14298. ISO/IEC 27001 has further strengthened this.”

What is ISO/IEC 27001?
ISO/IEC 27001 is an internationally recognized standard for information security. The certification confirms that a company systematically protects sensitive data, assesses potential security risks, and implements appropriate technical and organizational measures. This includes clearly defined processes, defined responsibilities, and the continuous improvement of security standards.
The ISO standard combines organizational, technical, personnel, and physical security measures with systematic risk management. Its scope ranges from clearly defined responsibilities and the protection of IT systems and networks to raising employee awareness and safeguarding buildings and production areas.
