Normally, this identifier takes the form of a QR code or another type of barcode. The UID may be featured on tamper-proof labels, directly on the packaging, or even on the product itself.
To combat fraud, we ensure that identifiers are both unique and unpredictable. Our IoT traceability protocols for generating encrypted UIDs are state-of-the-art, boasting high scalability and rapid execution.
Our system combines highly secure UIDs, based on cryptographic methods along with a variety of physical security features. This integrated approach is made robust against copying by using tamper-proof labels employing VOID technology, covert hash codes, and various overt and covert security features.
UIDs can also be introduced in the form of a radio frequency tag such as an RFID or NFC tag.

With our smart and user-friendly digital product platform Codikett, codes (or Unique Identifiers UIDs) can easily be generated and attributed to products. This means that each product receives a sort of digital passport just like travellers need a passport. These UIDs can then be applied to the product via our highly secure tamper-evident traceability labels, packaging, or even directly onto the product itself. UIDs are assignable either individually or in batches for larger quantities.
Brand owners can subsequently trace and track their goods throughout the entire supply chain, from distributors to consumers. This is achieved simply by scanning QR codes attributed to products, pallets, etc., which then undergo verification against an updated geo-database to pinpoint location by country and city.
This system enables global product identification and facilitates product serialization for brand owners through our custom security traceability labels. The latter allows access to our online platform, where comprehensive market data and analyses can be accessed.

Secured codes generated by our digital platform are specifically assigned to defined products. Once these products enter the market, consumers can scan the QR code on the traceability label using their smartphones to authenticate their product’s authenticity. Additionally, a hidden PIN beneath the first layer enhances code security. Brand owners can easily monitor the number of scans and their locations through their dedicated portal, thereby effectively identifying activities such as grey market distribution.
Geo-localization is facilitated through a geo-database that identifies the city and country where scans occur. This feature renders consumer smartphones incapable of geo-location. Scanning is key for data collection: thorough scanning throughout the supply chain greatly simplifies and solidifies product traceability. Product serialization aids in categorizing and defining products within the brand owner’s system for efficient stock control and management.
