EUROPEAN SECURITY LABEL ENGINEERING FOR FASTEST-GROWING AND MOST COMPLEX BRAND PROTECTION MARKETS IN THE U.S.

SECURIKETT IN THE USA

Securikett Inc. in the U.S. brings European security-label engineering to one of the world’s largest and most demanding brand protection markets. Securikett in the U.S. combines tamper-evident label technology developed and manufactured in Austria, with local U.S. consultation and support.

American manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, and retailers face a fast-moving mix of federal compliance deadlines, organized retail crime, cargo theft, and counterfeit imports – and they need a partner who understands both the regulatory landscape and the realities of U.S. supply chains. Our team works directly with U.S. brand owners, packaging converters, and compliance teams to specify, test, and implement the right combination of physical tamper evidence and digital traceability for their products.

Whether the goal is protection against counterfeit and diverted goods, or securing shipments moving through today’s high-risk logistics networks, Securikett USA provides the technology, documentation, and local responsiveness to get it right the first time. From VOID security labels and tamper-evident tapes to QR-code serialization and our Codikett traceability platform.

BRAND PROTECTION CHALLENGES IN THE USA

The United States is one of the largest consumer and pharmaceutical markets in the world — and one of the most targeted by counterfeiters, cargo thieves, and organized retail crime networks. Industry research puts total U.S. retail theft losses at roughly $45 billion in 2024, on track to reach an estimated $53 billion by 2027, with cargo theft alone costing the retail industry an estimated $7 billion a year.

At the same time, brand owners must navigate an evolving federal and state compliance landscape spanning the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA), the Federal Trade Commission’s INFORM Consumers Act, the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), and Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) supply-chain security guidelines.

HOW U.S. BRANDS CAN DETECT GREY-MARKET AND PARALLEL TRADE

Many U.S. brand owners are fighting grey-market activity and parallel trade, where genuine products are diverted outside authorized distribution channels, resold by unauthorized third-party sellers.

Serialized QR codes combined with Securikett’s Codikett traceability platform let brands track individual units through the supply chain, pinpoint where diversion occurs, and take targeted enforcement action rather than guessing.

PHARMA CHALLENGE IN THE USA

The Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) has required manufacturers, wholesale distributors, dispensers, and repackagers to exchange product tracing data electronically and on an interoperable, package-level basis across the entire U.S. pharmaceutical supply chain — paper-based and non-interoperable systems are no longer sufficient.

FAQ

All Securikett security labels and tamper-evident solutions are manufactured at our production facility in Münchendorf, Austria, and shipped from there to customers in the United States. Our U.S.-based team manages local consultation, ordering, and support throughout the process.

Most Securikett solutions are custom-engineered and manufactured to order, since materials, dimensions, VOID design, adhesives, and serialization are tailored to each customer’s product and application. For frequently reordered designs, we work with customers to plan production and shipping schedules that minimize lead times.

Lead times depend on the complexity of the label design, the security features required (e.g. VOID effect, holography, serialization), and order volume. Our U.S. team provides a project-specific timeline during consultation, covering both production in Austria and shipping to the United States.

Yes. Securikett’s serialized QR-code and 2D barcode labels are designed to carry the data elements required for DSCSA compliance — including the National Drug Code, serial number, lot number, and expiration date — combined with tamper-evident VOID technology on a single label.

In many cases, yes. Because our labels combine physical tamper evidence with flexible, serialized QR/2D codes, we can help design a single label architecture that satisfies U.S. DSCSA requirements alongside EU FMD or other destination-market requirements, reducing complexity for manufacturers serving multiple markets.

Yes. While all products are manufactured in Austria, Securikett USA provides local consultation, technical support, and account management, so customers work with a team that understands the U.S. regulatory and market context.

MOQs vary depending on the product, security features, and level of customization required. Please contact our U.S. team for details specific to your project.

Yes. Labels can be customized for size, material, adhesive, security feature, and printed content, including compliance-specific data fields and layouts to meet FDA, TTB, or retailer-specific labelling requirements.
