PaperVOID Label with Cut Indicator and Die-Cut Star wins FINAT certificate

Securikett Receives Recognition at FINAT Label Competition 2026

Münchendorf, August 2026

The innovative paper-based SecurityLabel by Securikett with integrated Cut Indicator has received a Highly Commended” recognition at this year’s FINAT International Label Competition.

Made entirely from paper, the label supports more sustainable packaging concepts and contributes to circular economy approaches. It enables brands to integrate reliable security features while addressing increasing demands for recyclable and environmentally responsible packaging solutions.

The SecurityLabel combines multiple protection technologies to provide enhanced tamper evidence. Securikett’s proven VOID technology ensures that any attempt to remove the label becomes permanently visible. The integrated Cut Indicator adds another layer of protection by revealing any attempt to open the label through cutting.

Die-Cut Stars remain on the liner

A unique additional security feature is the integrated die-cut element: one of the stars remains on the liner. This creates a distinctive authentication feature that is highly challenging to replicate and provides an additional level of security against counterfeiting and unauthorized access.

Beyond visual verification, this feature also supports accessibility. Since the remaining die-cut element can be identified by touch, it enables verification by people with visual impairments, making the security solution more inclusive.

“Receiving this recognition from FINAT confirms the importance of developing security solutions that combine sustainability, innovation, and user-friendly authentication,” says Vanessa Mitterer-Kling, Head of R&D at Securikett. “Our goal is to help brands protect their products with reliable security features while meeting the growing requirements for sustainable packaging solutions.”

The award-winning SecurityLabel demonstrates how modern security labels can go beyond traditional tamper evidence – combining sustainable materials, advanced security features, and inclusive design to address the challenges of future product protection.
