Counterfeit products on the rise; manufacturers respond
The global market for counterfeit products is growing rapidly. At the same time, EU regulations such as the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and the Digital Product Passport (DPP) are tightening requirements for manufacturers. Many companies see these developments merely as obligations and additional costs.
“Our customers report issues with product counterfeiting as well as major problems within the distribution chain and gray market activities,” explains Werner Horn, CEO of Securikett. “Uncertainty is increasing, but the good news is: the solutions neither have to be overly complex nor require changes to existing processes.”

EU packaging regulation demands higher recyclability. At interpack, Securikett will present modern security label solutions that combine both: improved recyclability and tamper-evident labeling.
A highlight is the PaperVOID series, in which security labels can be recycled together with paper and cardboard packaging.
