for Product Authentication and Supply Chain Transparency

Cloud-native platform combines secure product identification with real-time analytics and role-based data access
Securikett has launched Codikett 2.0, a cloud-based platform for product authentication and traceability. The software links unique product identifiers with real-time data analytics and enables role-based access for different stakeholders along the supply chain.
Background
According to the OECD and EUIPO, global trade in counterfeit goods amounted to approximately USD 467 billion in 2021, representing 2.3 percent of worldwide imports. At the same time, regulatory requirements such as the Digital Product Passport are increasing transparency obligations for manufacturers. Many companies still rely on fragmented systems, separate QR codes, manual Excel spreadsheets, and isolated partner portals.
How It Works
Codikett 2.0 is based on Unique Identifiers (UIDs) that are non-guessable and non-sequential. These identifiers are linked to individual products, batches, or serialized items.
During verification—for example, by scanning a QR code—the platform provides role-specific information: consumers receive confirmation of authenticity, distributors gain access to additional process-related data, and internal auditors can view extended diagnostic information.
Response pages can be customized via a built-in response page designer, eliminating the need to reprint codes on packaging when content is updated.
Real-Time Analytics and Grey Market Detection
The platform analyzes scan events in real time and detects anomalies such as frequent scans outside designated markets, repeated scans of identical UIDs, or unusual verification patterns associated with specific batches.
Use Cases
The software is designed for manufacturers requiring:
- Product authentication for consumers and trade partners
- Grey market detection through geographic scan analysis
- Traceability at batch or individual item level
- Preparation for Digital Product Passport compliance
