The new headquarters of SECURIKETT®, including the production building, was officially opened on 9th of November 2017. SECURIKETT® moved all its production facilities and administration to the new site in Münchendorf.
In the afternoon, customers and selected interested parties were invited to discover the world of SECURIKETT® and take a look behind the scenes. Five groups, two English and three German-speaking, were guided alternately through a multiple stage theatre of five workshop stations. Specialists from SECURIKETT® as well as guest speakers from LEONHARD KURZ Stiftung & Co KG shared their knowledge in interactive presentations. The technological evolution of security printing, tamper evidence for labels, test procedures in quality assurance, track & trace and holograms as security features were presented. The acting skills of the Securikett staff did not fall short in this context. The new 9-colour printing machine with very special auxiliary units, tailor-made for security printing, could also be seen in operation.
In the evening, the building was officially opened in the presence of guests of honour, business partners, customers, employees, family and friends. 270 people from different countries celebrated with the managing directors Dr. Marietta Ulrich-Horn and Werner Horn. “We are proud to be in our new building, which provides an appropriate setting for the company's status and future development opportunities. Even though the last few days and weeks have been exhausting for all of us, we are already experiencing that our working environment has changed tremendously."
The new SECURIKETT® building complies with modern environmental standards is functional and yet shows personality. The new factory with production, warehouse, administration wing and the so-called "casino" (recreation area and kitchen) offer employees a better workplace. Investments have also been made in new printing technology. This allows SECURIKETT® to improve its current production and, most importantly, to develop new highly innovative solutions for product security. For the upcoming years, there is still room for additional machines and more capacity and more space for research and development. Innovation and development work are an integral part of the SECURIKETT® strategy.
The managing directors are convinced that the new building provides a solid basis for SECURIKETT®'s next step forward to further develop the market of product authentication and identification, thus product safety.
Since the foundation of the company in 2003, SECURIKETT® has created more than 55 jobs. The company plans to take on new employees, in particular for the booming business area of digital product security. The team will be expanded in all areas of administration and production, particularly in the IT, R&D, combined printing products and international marketing departments.
The evening was hosted by Dr. Marie-Luise Pitzl. She invited Mayor Josef Ehrenberger on stage, as well as representatives of international associations from the fields of patient safety and standardization. Interviews with representatives of Swarovski and Tangle Teezer evidenced the close development partnership between SECURIKETT® and its customers.
Last but not least, the participants had a lot of fun at the 007-quiz, where the security concept of the company and the new building, as well as the accompanying exhibition of the Viennese artist Barbara Czapka were discussed. Anita Horn, vocalist born in the village “Horn”, and her band provided musical support to the great atmosphere of this unforgettable event.
